The Buddha Bodai delivery guy is always smiling when he gets to my office, and it's no coincidence that I'm always smiling when he gets there too! Buddha Bodai is a delicious, healthier (morally and physically) choice for lunch or dinner if you're in Chinatown. Check out the mock lamb curry.

super fast delivery, great size lunch portion, delicious and super hot food. stupid that delivery minimum is $10, forcing me to buy spring rolls (which were good, but i couldn't eat because the lunch portion is so generous.) nice chinese delivery man on a bike with a smile. yay

Well it is 1:14, and I placed this order at 12:02PM. The website said 15-30 minutes and it's been over an hour and still nothing. On the phone with restaurant and they are refusing to cancel order. I'm starving and now annoyed!!!

This is seriously my favorite vegetarian restaurant. I ate there when it first opened and I'll eat it till I die. The baked pork buns are amazing and this is coming from a flexitarian!

I like this food and i like that they steam most things if you ask for it. however, the portion size of the mock meat seems really skimpy lately.

It's rare to find a vegetarian chinese restaurant in chinatown, so I've really enjoyed their take out. I don't often have a craving for greasy food, but when I do - this is the place I go it. It's just too bad they don't have Cold Sesame noodles. Great taste, great prices.

Fantastic vegetarian fake-meat Chinese food. A lot of dishes are fried, but you can find plenty that are not or order dishes steamed instead. Reasonably priced, good sized portions, and good food keep us coming back.

Who knew you had to order rice separately at a chinese restaurant....no rice! The General Tso's chicken is heavily breaded and soaked with oil!! I can't even eat it!

Very interesting selection of vegan foods that certainly don't skimp on the flavor. For vegan/kosher, you can't beat these prices either. Each of the soups feels exotic and tastes better than it smells!

If I were rating Buddha Bodai based purely on the food, I would give it five stars; the food is delicious. But right now I am staring at $17 worth of food that fits in a lunch sized container and I am not happy. If you order from them, stick to lunch specials; $6.95 for fake meat, rice, and your choice of a side. I loved the Sesame Veg. Chicken so much I decided to order it in entree size today with a pint of brown rice; the entree I received barely filled up half of the lunch sized conatiner. I poured the rice in the same container and it was still far from being full. I called to complain that I had just spent $17 for less food than comes in the $6.95 lunch special and was told that it just "looks smaller." Also, don't believe the 15-30 min delivery time; sometimes it can take them ten, twenty, thirty minutes to confirm your seamless web order on top of delivery time, so figure that in to your lunch break. Poor customer service means I can only give this place one star.

HUGE MENU of vegetarian options that taste great and mimic authentic Chinese dishes. Prices are good - not great for Chinese food. Service is very quick for pick up.

Food is delicious, they get special requests right, (sauce on side, etc.) and I can't figure out how they get my food here so quickly. I'm all the way on the west side - Spring and Sixth- and I've RECEIVED my order 20 minutes after ordering!

The food was quite good, the service was good, I'll definitely order from them again. I have very few choices for vegetarian food in my area, so I'm glad I have at least one good choice in Buddha Bodai.

I'd love to be able to say that the food was great...if it had arrived anywhere close to the time estimated. Or the time estimated when I called to make sure the order had gone through. Still no food and terrible service. Hope I can eat my words when it arrives.

The food was all delicious, I abosolutely loved it. An amazing variety of great choices for vegetarians. Unfortunately, it is highly overpriced, and I've only seen the prices increase, while they take away things like rice...

Excellent! I am still a relatively new veggie, just over a year, and while I don't miss meat, i do miss some of the familiar flavors of my pre-veggie life. Living in the financial district veggie options are few and far between, so when I saw this it seemed to good to actually be any good... I was pleasantly delighted! I ordered an old favorite, lemon *chicken and singapore noodles, and they were both EXCELLENT! The textures of the "meat" was great and the flavors and prep were awesome, not at all greasy and portions are hearty!! Can't wait to show my steak loving boyfriend this stuff! Big thumbs up, Buddha Bodai has a new fan....

I ordered the General Tso's lunch special and was pleasantly surprised. The hot and sour soup was also very good and would highly recommenmd it. The order got to me quickly and overall it was a great first experience. I would definately give this place a thumbs up and I for one am very excited that I discovered this place.

For vegetarians, they have great food., However, their entrees are listed as coming with a small portion of white rice. They did not include the rice, which made it hard to enjoy the entree. They apologize after the fact, say they are going to give you rice next time, but there are no guarantees that they'll follow through on that. It's better to call and order from this restaurant to make sure you get the food you order.

Yummy faux meat. The BBQ meat is really savory, tasty indeed. It's nice to have a tasty not too earthy veg place to order from. I look forward to trying other dishes. My carnivore DH loved the LoMein.

Good food. Fast delivery. Attentive helpful management (on those few occassions when I've had to deal directly with the restaurant). I get tired of salads and it;s the only place I can get a fresh carrot juice delivered to where I work (where there is nothing veg around). I have recomended Buddha Bodai Kosher Vegetarian Restaurant to several friends. -jc
